ROACHSOUNDS represents the musicianship, production, songwriting and sound design work I do for outside clients. I've lived in the greater Nashville TN area and have worked professionally in the greatest studios; with the best engineers, and with the finest musicians in the world for over 30 years. Allmusic.com has more of an exhaustive list, but the pics below gives you an idea of a few highlights. I also have have my own recording space I lovingly call "infested audio", where all manor of audio hijinks take place. Reach out if you need something along these lines. Bug In The System is my production work/label entity. My goal is to be a "fly in the ointment" as they say, or I guess a "Roach" in this case. I've always tried to go about things in a different way and my hope is that in this current cultural environment, I can work and create content that is both emotive, enjoyable and authentic and ultimately honors the ACTUAL creator. I have my own work space, pictured below, that allows me to do complete turnkey projects all the way up to mixing and mastering in Atmos. Overall, I'm in the never ending process of learning to "walk" in God's grace and be a good steward of the gifts He has given me; drawing closer to Jesus everyday and trying to help others do the same.
Who or what is OHKI? OHKI is simply a pseudonym I use to release my own creations. Often they’re a mashup of disparate styles, but stay tuned as I have lots of music in the queue and lots of ideas to share. I've also fully embraced mixing projects I'm working on in Dolby Atmos or Spatial Audio, as Apple calls it. All selected previous music, as well as future music will involve that new "immersive" treatment. So if you're interested in 3D audio, grab some decent headphones and head to Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music Unlimited or any other DSP that offers it. "OHKI" is hard at creating and RE-creating several projects so please go check it out. Of coarse stereo versions are always available.
